Overview: Long-term care for orphaned and vulnerable children through safe shelter, stable nutrition, and emotional support.
Pamoja Outreach Foundation is a Kampala-based NGO that stands with vulnerable children, elderly persons, and families in underserved communities through practical, dignity-restoring support.
Many households in ghetto areas carry the weight of poverty, illness, and isolation. We come alongside them with consistent care, education support, and compassionate follow-up so that no one has to struggle alone.
We are here to listen carefully, act responsibly, and walk with families for the long term.
Pamoja Outreach Foundation is a registered NGO based in Kampala, Uganda, led by Mr. Akuma Jamal and committed to serving elderly persons, orphans, financially constrained individuals, the sick, and persons with disabilities in vulnerable communities.
We exist to stand with people who are often forgotten in the ghetto areas of Kampala—offering consistent, practical support that restores hope and protects dignity.
Our mission is to provide holistic support to vulnerable children, elderly persons, and families through orphan care, elderly care, medical assistance, and education sponsorship, working hand in hand with local communities.
Our vision is a community where every vulnerable person is seen, supported, and given a fair opportunity to live a healthy, dignified, and hope-filled life.

A personal note from the leadership of Pamoja Outreach Foundation about responsibility, vision, and hope.
“At Pamoja Outreach Foundation, we meet families at very difficult points in their lives. Many carry burdens that are hidden from public view. Our responsibility is to listen carefully, respond thoughtfully, and remain present even after the first visit is over.
We do not promise what we cannot sustain. Instead, we focus on steady, realistic support that protects dignity and restores hope over time. Each child, each elderly person, and each household we encounter is more than a number—they are our neighbors.
My commitment as Director is to lead this work with integrity, accountability, and compassion so that anyone who chooses to walk with us in the future can be confident that their support is handled with care.”
